The Front Desk Unit (FDU) is the stand-alone brain of the system which encodes keycards, programmes and audits the locks with no need for a separate computer or database. It not only remembers what keycards were issued, but also who issued them.

The FDU is ideal for smaller facilities in need of single or multiple workstation applications. The compact unit is stand-alone, meaning that it requires no wiring and no computer. With a small footprint, it takes minimum front desk space.

It has a high user-friendly menu which provides for 4 000 entry audits of the keycards encoded / verified through it. Smaller establishments as well as larger hotels can use it since it can handle up to 16 000 rooms, and up to 64 FDU’s can be used concurrently in a hotel without a network.
